Hello Pampers Apps

I developed a suite of 3 highly popular apps for Pampers, one of the world's top twenty brands. Mashable said it was "one of six branded apps on the cutting edge of innovation."

SMAC - Mobile Messaging Platform

I founded the startup and oversaw development of this mobile messaging platform. The company was later acquired by Disney.

SMAC, or “Short Mobile Animated Communicator” allowed users to send short animated SMS-like messages on their mobile phones. It was consistently a top ten service on Holland’s largest mobile carrier KPN, was rolled out in France and Belgium and did trials in on Sprint and Verizon in the US. I oversaw all elements of production and marketing.

Mobile Voter - SMS Voter Registration

Responding to low voter turnout among young people, I co-founded this 501(c)3 non-profit, Mobile Voter. Our product let users register to vote by simply sending a text message from their mobile phone (more specifically, the user texts a CSC, Mobile Voter determines the appropriate district and then mails the correct forms to the user to sign and send back).

Mobile Voter received the Wireless Innovation Award from the wireless industry’s trade organization, CTIA. A single campaign, funded by the MacArthur Foundation, the Pew Charitable Trust and George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management registered over 70,000 new voters in 3 months.

Nike - Playstation Home

Nike was looking for a way to reach out to consumers who were heavy online gamers and enthusiastic participants in online communities. We created a virtual environment for Nike in Playstation’s “Sony Home” virtual world project (my company, Millions of Us, was also chosen to be Sony Home’s exclusive North American developer) that featured mini-games, celebrity guest appearances and Nike apparel.

Cisco - Explorable Online 3D Model

For this project for Cisco and Palomar West, the largest healthcare provider in Southern California, we created an online 3D model of a hospital Palomar West had just broken ground on. The model was built up from the original site blueprints and users were able to wander from room to room and see many of Cisco’s healthcare initiatives in action - such as telepresence, robotic operating rooms and RFID-enabled medical tags.
